Opened in 2024, Desert Rock is one of the most daring and striking projects of the Red Sea Project: an ultra-luxury retreat carved into the cliffs of the Hejaz Mountains, designed to blend with the rock rather than dominate it. Designed by Oppenheim Architecture, the resort reinterprets Nabataean aesthetics in a contemporary way, combining minimalism, spirituality, and absolute comfort.
The 64 accommodations—including Cliff Hanging Villas suspended over the void, Mountain Cave Suites hidden within the stone, and spacious Wadi Villas with private pools—offer total privacy, spectacular views, and a serene atmosphere that reconnects guests with the essentials. Each stay is accompanied by a dedicated Villa Host, ready to personalize every experience according to guests’ wishes.
The experiential offerings are immersive: canyon climbing, via ferrata routes, stargazing among the dunes, traditional hammam, and a spa integrated into the natural surroundings. Nyra restaurant celebrates live-fire cuisine, while the lounges—from cocktail bars to the observatory—complete a refined and surprising gastronomic experience.
Built with the environment, not on it, Desert Rock uses local materials, natural cooling systems, and native vegetation, minimizing environmental impact and preserving the area’s raw beauty.
The resort is located in Tabuk Province, just 20 minutes from Red Sea International Airport. Transfers take place via private buggy, crossing spectacular valleys and canyons.
